Three Tables
Furniture Series
These three tables each have a different unusual opening mechanism. The basic idea was to reinterpret classic furniture structures and making use of common flaws:
While conventional drawers tilt or wear out after some time, these asymmetric movements become the functional principle of the desk and the side table.
Another table is turned into a secretaire by swinging open its covering. Closing it might be a way of marking the end of a work day and hiding any work-related mess.
The tables are made of elm wood, veneer and linoleum.
